Offensive player of the week: Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys.&nbsp;Romo shook off dramatic 37-34 home loss to Giants the week before, passed for three TDs and ran for another in a 31-15 road win over the Bucs. 
 Defensive player of the week: Jason Babin, DE, Eagles. Three more sacks for Babin against the Jets’ Mark Sanchez, giving him eight in his last three games and 18 for the season. 
 Special teams player of the week: Patrick Peterson, PR, Cardinals. Another week, another huge punt return in overtime for the rookie, who helped set up Jay Feely’s game-winner of the Cardinals’ 20-17 win over the Browns to even Arizona’s record at 7-7. 
 Game of the week: Lions 28, Raiders 27. Matthew Stafford’s six-yard TD pass to Calvin Johnson with 39 seconds left capped a 98-yard scoring drive as the Lions rallied from a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit. 
 Upset of the week: Chiefs 19, Packers 14. The woeful Chiefs, who were blown out the week before against the Jets and fired head coach Todd Haley, stunned the unbeaten Packers at home and gave interim head coach Romeo Crennel a well-deserved Gatorade shower afterward. 
 Quarterback question of the week: Is Blaine Gabbert the right guy for the Jaguars? He didn’t help matters with another awful performance in a 41-14 blowout loss to the Falcons, as he was sacked 3 ½ times and lost two fumbles. 
 Amazing factoid of the week:&nbsp;After falling to 4-8, the Eagles have won two straight and actually have a chance to win the NFC East if they win out and finish with the same record as the Giants and Cowboys.&nbsp; 
 Breakout: Reggie Bush, Saints, RB. He had a career-high 203 rushing yards in a 30-23 win over the Bills, and celebrated a touchdown by sliding into the snowy endzone. Miami won for interim head coach Todd Bowles, who replaced Tony Sparano last week. 
 Can-do Cam: Panthers rookie QB Cam Newton threw two TD passes to help Carolina break the Texans’ seven-game winning streak in a 28-13 win in Houston. Newton took advantage of a Texans’ defense that was without coordinator Wade Phillips, who underwent kidney and gall bladder surgery last week. 
 Finally!! Colts 27, Titans 13. On the same day the Packers saw their unbeaten season come to an end at 13 straight, the Colts saw their winless streak end at 13. 
 Record-setting pace: Drew Brees threw for 412 yards and five TDs in a 42-20 rout of the Vikings. He’s now just 304 yards from breaking Dan Marino’s single season record for most passing yards (5,084 in 1984). 
 New York, New York: In anticipation of their Christmas Eve showdown at MetLife Stadium, both New York teams stunk out the place on Sunday. Tough to figure out which was worse, Giants’ 23-10 loss to the Redskins (probably) or Jets’ 45-19 loss to the Iggles (maybe). 
 Giant of the week: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE. Had 11 solo tackles, five assists, a sack and three quarterback hits. The only bright spot on a dismal afternoon for the Giants. 
 Jet of the week: Shonn Greene, RB. With 18 carries for 73 yards and a 4.1-yard average, he’s the only player who came close to a serviceable game. 
 Bonehead celebration of the week: Santonio Holmes, Jets, WR. After a second-quarter touchdown that made it 28-9 Iggles, Holmes put the ball on the ground and mocked Philly’s “fly, birds, fly” celebration. Cost the Jets a 15-yard taunting penalty. Not what you want out of your team captain. 
 Rookie of the week: A.J. Green, WR, Bengals. The prized rookie, who replaced aging Chad Ochocinco, added six more catches against the Rams to go over 1,000 yards for the season. Green’s 1,006 yards are three behind Cris Collinsworth’s franchise rookie record, set in 1981. 
 Tebow magic on hold: Tom Brady had a thing or two to say about Tim Tebow’s latest attempt at a victory, as the former Super Bowl MVP took Tebow to school in a 41-23 win at Mile High. This time, it was Brady bringing the Patriots back from a 17-6 deficit with 320 yards, two TD passes and a rushing TD.
