NFL trade deadline moved back
The NFL has pushed back the trade deadline from Tuesday at 4 p.m. eastern until Thursday at 4 p.m. The league office is closed Monday and Tuesday because of Hurricane Sandy, so the deadline was pushed back to accommodate teams that might want to make deals.
This year's deadline has been pushed back two weeks from previous years, when the deadline was the Tuesday after Week 6 games. The deadline was pushed back to allow teams more flexibility to change their rosters later in the season.
