PATRIOTS (8-0) AT GIANTS (5-4), 4:25 p.m.

TV: Ch. 2; Radio: WFAN (660, 101.9)

Patriots by 7; O/U: 54 1/2

It's no surprise that the Patriots are 8-0. It also won't be a surprise when they're 16-0, then 19-0, setting the stage for the greatest moment in TV history when Roger Goodell hands his favorite team the Super Bowl trophy after the messy DeflateGate saga. Memo to Goodell: You might want to book a business trip for that first Sunday in February. So it's the unbeaten Pats vs. the Giants . . . ahh, that's why the NFL Network aired a replay of Super Bowl XLII the other day, the "David Tyree Helmet Game'' in which the Giants spoiled the 18-0 Pats' shot at a perfect season. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were denied two rings at the hands of Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin, so you know they just love getting a chance to run the score up on them. There's been talk of how the Giants' pass rush can get to Brady like it did in the Super Bowls, and that may be true as the Pats are battling injuries on the O-line. But Brady's ability to get rid of the ball so fast, plus weapons Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, make the Pats nearly unstoppable. New England is averaging an NFL-best 34.5 points per game and its 420.2 yards per game is second-best. The Giants allow a league-high 422.6 yards per game, and in case you forgot, were torched for 52 points by the Saints two weeks ago. More reasons to back the Pats: They've scored in every quarter this season except the first one in Week 1, and they're 11-1 vs. the NFC East in their last 12 games. The "Take DeflateGate Out on the Rest of the NFL Tour'' hits 9-0 with another double-digit win. Book that trip, Roger.

1 P.M. GAMES

LOCK OF THE WEEK: LIONS (1-7) AT PACKERS (6-2)

Packers by 11 1/2; O/U: 48 1/2

NFL handicapping, like football, is a game of X's and O's. As in using X's to cross out losses and O's to circle winners. It was nine X's and only four O's for me last week. Speaking of tough performances, the Packers lost a road game to an undefeated team for a second straight week. Breathe easy, Cheeseheads: The Pack's reward is a home game vs. Detroit and its Swiss-cheese 'D'. If the Chiefs scored 45 points on it, what will Aaron Rodgers (10-2 with 22 TDs vs. Lions) and the Packers do? Pack wins by 20-plus.

The pick: Packers

PANTHERS (8-0) AT TITANS (2-6)

Panthers by 5; O/U: 44

Carolina has won 12 straight regular-season games, and is due for a letdown. I think the Titans are a live underdog, and wouldn't be surprised if they pull off another upset.

The pick: Titans

BROWNS (2-7) AT STEELERS (5-4)

Steelers by 5 1/2; O/U: 41 1/2

Cleveland caught a break not having to face Ben Roethlisberger (18-2 vs. Browns). Which makes you think: When was the last time the Browns caught a break? Both teams will want to enter their bye on a high, so I see it being close.

The pick: Browns

DOLPHINS (3-5) AT EAGLES (4-4)

TV: Ch. 2

Eagles by 6; O/U: 49

Dan Campbell and the Dolphins have lost to the Patriots and Bills the last two weeks by a combined 45 points. This after they beat the Titans and Texans by a total of 46 points. It doesn't get easier with a trip to Philly, which I think will build off last week's overtime win.

The pick: Eagles

COWBOYS (2-6) AT BUCS (3-5)

Bucs by 1; O/U: 43 1/2

The Cowboys can't lose every game without Tony Romo, right? Dallas finds a way to come out on the right side of a close game for once and snap its six-game skid.

The pick: Cowboys

SAINTS (4-5) AT REDSKINS (3-5)

TV: Ch. 5

Saints by 1; O/U: 50

Kirk Cousins (6 TDs, 2 INTs) and the Redskins (3-1) are a different team at home. They'll have success vs. Saints' 31st-ranked 'D'. The pick: Redskins

BEARS (3-5) AT RAMS (4-4)

Rams by 7; O/U: 42 1/2

The Bears showed a national TV audience what they're made of with a gutsy win on Monday night. They've won three of five, and the games were decided by a total of 12 points. Take the points.

The pick: Bears

JAGUARS (2-6) AT RAVENS (2-6)

Ravens by 5 1/2; O/U: 48

All Baltimore does is play close games. Both wins were by 3 points, and the losses were by 6, 4, 4, 3, 5 and 8. The Jags' passing game keeps this inside the number.

The pick: Jaguars

4 P.M. GAMES

CHIEFS (3-5) AT BRONCOS (7-1)

Broncos by 5 1/2; O/U: 41 1/2

Andy Reid is 14-2 the week after a bye, so you know his Chiefs will be ready for this one. Plus, Denver won't have Aqib Talib, their best corner, after he was suspended one game for poking a player in the eye last week. The Broncos rebound from their first loss, but Chiefs keep it inside the number.

The pick: Chiefs

VIKINGS (6-2) AT RAIDERS (4-4)

Raiders by 3; O/U: 44

The Raiders have scored 106 points over their last three games (2-1), and I think their offense will make enough big plays to cover. It probably won't be decided till late.

The pick: Raiders

SUNDAY NIGHT

CARDINALS (6-2) AT SEAHAWKS (4-4), 8:20 p.m.

TV: Ch. 4; Radio: WFAN (660, 101.9)

Seahawks by 3; O/U: 45

Russell Wilson is 24-3 at home, 12-2 in prime time and 10-2 in November . . . but Seattle is not the same team. It has yet to beat a team with a winning record. Arizona was outscored 54-9 by Seattle last season -- without Carson Palmer. He has 20 TDs as Cards are averaging 32.9 points.

The pick: Cardinals

MONDAY NIGHT

TEXANS (3-5) AT BENGALS (8-0), 8:30 p.m.

TV: ESPN; Radio: WFAN (660, 101.9)

Bengals by 10 1/2; O/U: 47 1/2

Underdogs went 7-6 ATS last week, bringing their total to 67-60-4 for the season. They've done especially well on Monday night, covering eight of 10 games. That's not going to happen this week. Houston has already fallen behind 42-0 at Atlanta and 41-0 at Miami. Maybe they'll hold Cincinnati to only 30 points in the first half. Cincy is 7-0-1 against the spread (ATS), and they'll make it back-to-back easy wins in prime time as they steamroll to 9-0.

The pick: Bengals
