Our Thursday night picks
Playoff survival is on the line for the second straight Thursday night, as Philip Rivers and the Chargers (7-6) take on Vernon Davis and the San Francisco 49ers (5-8) at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
Both teams were preseason favorites to win their respective divisions, but got off to rough starts. Somehow each remains a game out of first place, so tonight's game is pivotal.
Glauber: Chargers (-9) over 49ers
Mascaro: Chargers (-9) over 49ers
