The Patriots announced they've acquired safety Jarrod Page in a trade with the Chiefs for undisclosed draft choice compensation.

New England also acquired Eagles linebacker Tracy White for undisclosed draft-choice considerations.

Additionally, the Patriots claimed and were awarded tackle Steve Maneri off waivers from the Texans. New England made room on the roster by releasing linebacker Tyrone McKenie.

Page, a seventh-round pick of the Chiefs in 2006, played in 53 games with 39 starts and totaled 204 tackles, 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles and 17 special teams tackles. Of his 11 interceptions (including playoffs), five have come inside the Chiefs' 5-yard line. After starting every game at free safety in 2007-08, Page had just five starts last year due to a calf injury.

White, a 7th-year lineabcker with Seattle, Jacksonville, Green Bay and Philadephia, originally signed with Seattle as a rookie free agent out of Howard in 2003.

Maneri, 6-6, 290 pounds, was signed by Houston as a free agent out of Temple on May 7.

McKenzie, 6-2, 245 pounds, was drafted by the Patriots in the third round in 2009 and was on injured reserve for the duration of his rookie season.
