Peterson taking over in Miami?
Former Chiefs president and general manager Carl Peterson, a close friend of Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, is about to be named president of the Dolphins' organization, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Per Salguero, Peterson sat in on the team's interview with Jeff Fisher for the vacant head coaching position.
The move makes sense for Ross, who is clearly not a football guy and has had a longstanding business relationship with Peterson. Currently, Peterson is a spokesman for an in-game media product that Ross has been promoting in recent years.
