The Broncos made a huge splash by signing free agent quarterback Peyton Manning last month.

Now they've selected Manning's heir apparent.

The Broncos drafted Arizona State quarterback Brock Osweiler with the 57th pick tonight. Osweiler is almost 6-foot-7, which is actually considered too tall for most quarterbacks. But the Broncos thought enough of Osweiler to take him with a reasonably high pick. The fact that he'll now learn under Manning is obviously a huge plus.

Osweiler will now take over for Tim Tebow, who was traded to the Jets after the Manning acquisition in Denver.
