Reporters finally got a glimpse of some live passing drills for newly acquired Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, and the 36-year-old quarterback looked just fine during some practice today.

Per the Associated Press, Manning had plenty of zip on his throws. The Colts have joined the rest of the NFL's teams in this week's Organized Team Activities (OTAs), although the drills are non-contact.

There had been plenty of questions about Manning's arm strength over the past year, and Manning himself has said he isn't at full strength. But he has contended all along that he has gradually regained the strength lost after undergoing three surgical procedures last year to address neck problems.

So far, so good.

"It felt good to be out there," Manning said. "I haven't really been out there like this for a year and a half. It's a day I've been waiting on for a long time. I've always believed you develop your timing for the passing game in the off-season. You can't just show up in September and expect to be on the same page. Off-season workouts, it's a great time to make an impression on the coaches."

(Yeah, like Manning has to make an impression on his coaches.)
