Ponder is the guy in Minny
The Vikings finished woeful 3-13 season and got a good look at first-round draft pick Christian Ponder, the former Florida State quarterback. And despite some spotty play from Ponder, he will go into next season as the unquestioned starter.
Not only that, but he has been told the team will not draft another quarterback in April. Ponder said on the Dan Patrick Show that he has been assured newly appointed general manager Rick Spielman has told him the team is set for now at QB.
Asked if he had been assured the team won't draft another quarterback, Ponder said, "I have been. I talked to our GM yesterday."
