Pouncey is officially OUT for the game
Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey had hoped to be available for Super Bowl XLV, but he won't be playing. After missing practice today, Pouncey was declared out for the game because of a high ankle sprain.
Earlier in the week, Pouncey said he was "75 percent" certain he would play. But he never got back to the practice field, so Tomlin made it official today. Doug Legursky, who did a commendable job when Pouncey was hurt in the AFC Championship Game against the Jets, will get the start.
