Raiders' Campbell (broken collarbone
Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone. He said if everything goes right, he could be back in six weeks. Campbell was hurt Sunday during a win over the Browns and replaced by Kyle Boller, who struggled in his season debut.
The Raiders' only other quarterback is rookie Terrelle Pryor, who was activated yesterday. Former Jaguar David Garrard was considered a possible addition, but Garrard will have surgery this week to repair a herniated disc in his lower back. There were reports the Raiders are considering a trade for Carson Palmer, who refused to report to the Bengals after his trade demand was not met.
Payton has surgery
Sean Payton had surgery for a torn meniscus and fractured left leg. Team surgeon Deryk Jones said the Saints coach should be able to return to work by Wednesday.
Payton was hurt during a loss at Tampa Bay when Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was tackled into him. Payton wasn't the game's only sideline casualty. Bucs assistant Jimmy Lake tore the patella tendon in his left knee while jumping to celebrate an interception.
Rams acquire Lloyd
The Broncos sent receiver Brandon Lloyd to the Rams for a conditional 2012 draft pick. Lloyd will provide a deep threat for Sam Bradford, but maybe not this week. Bradford's high ankle sprain leaves him questionable for Sunday at Dallas.
No fines for coaches
The NFL will not fine Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz for a postgame tiff. To celebrate a win, 49ers coach Harbaugh gave Schwartz a roundhouse handshake and a backslap that upset the Lions' coach.
Around the league
Cowboys RB Felix Jones has a high ankle sprain, and G Bill Nagy (broken ankle) is likely done for the season . . . Redskins G Kory Lichtensteiger (torn knee ligaments) is out for the season.
