Randy Moss, retired for the past two NFL seasons, said he hasn't lost the itch to play football.

Moss, one of the best wide receivers in league history, totaled 982 catches for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns.

He caught a record 23 touchdown passes in 2007 with the New England Patriots, the third of five teams Moss played for during his 14 NFL seasons.

"I have not lost the itch," Moss said during Fox's broadcast of the 49ers-Cowboys preseason came. "And I have been working out with a few guys over the offseason. The one thing, I have been retired for the last two years. But you never know, Curt. That's the love of the game I have inside of me."
