Randy Moss works out for Saints

Former Patriots, Vikings, Raiders, and Titans receiver Randy Moss announced a few weeks ago he would return to the NFL after taking the 2011 season off. 

Early reports suggest Moss is off to a good start in impressing potential suitors. He worked out for the Saints today, and he performed exceptionally well, per Profootballtalk.com and Jay Glazer of FoxSports.com. 

Moss was traded by the Patriots to the Vikings midway through the 2010 season, but performed so poorly that he was subsequently released by Minnesota. He then hooked on with the Titans for the remainder of the season, and was not re-signed the following year. 

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Moss has two more workouts set for next week, but did not identify which teams had scheduled them. The Jets are in the market for a veteran receiver, since they're unlikely to re-sign Plaxico Burress, and Rex Ryan has been very complimentary of Moss in previous years. 

But signing Moss doesn't come without risk. His mercurial personality might not go over so well in a Jets' locker room that had plenty of infighting last season. Ryan is intent on improving team chemistry, and hiring Moss, even with his big-play capability, might not be the best way to accomplish that goal.
