Ricky Williams lands in Baltimore
Running back Ricky Williams, who wasn't asked back by the Dolphins this season, has landed in Baltimore. Williams has agreed to a two-year, $4 million deal with the Ravens to serve as a backup to starting tailback Ray Rice.
It's a perfect landing spot for Williams, who still appears to have plenty left at age 34. Williams had 673 rushing yards and two TDs in a limited role last year, and has rushed for over 4.1 yards per carry in his last three seasons with Miami.
He'll get plenty of playing time for the Ravens, who love to run the football and were in the market for a backup to Rice, the team's diminutive workhorse back.
