Rivera gets the Panthers' gig
Multiple reports indicate that Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera has accepted the job as the Panthers' next head coach, although the team has yet to make the official announcement.
Rivera appeared to have the inside track after the first round of interviews, and he was the only coach brought back for a second interview. Rivera's hiring means that Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, who had interviewed for the job, will likely remain with the Giants. Fewell is also under consideration in Denver and Cleveland.
