Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman goes on rant in postgame interview

Well, somebody's excited about going to the Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman gave arguably one of the most intense postgame interviews in recent memory after his team beat the San Francisco 49ers, 23-17, Sunday in the NFC Championship Game and advanced to Super Bowl XLVIII.

Immediately after the game went final, Fox sideline reporter Erin Andrews asked Sherman about the final play of the game, when the third-year cornerback tipped a pass in the end zone that was intended for 49ers wideout Michael Crabtree. The ball was intercepted by Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith to clinch the victory.

Instead, Sherman went off on Crabtree.

"Well, I'm the best corner in the game," Sherman said, "and when you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that's the result you're going to get. Don't you ever talk about me."

Andrews asked who was talking about Sherman. His response: "Crabtree. Don't you open your mouth about the best, or I'm gonna shut it for you real quick." Sherman closed out the interview by shouting out "L.O.B.", an abbreviation for the "Legion of Boom" nickname given to the Seahawks secondary.

Crabtree later tweeted: "Film don't lie... @nflnetwork @espn pull up the tape of that game and show me where this guy is the best? #fake #fake #fake".

Not to be outdone, Sherman retaliated shortly thereafter, tweeting: "A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep."
