South Florida SB chairman a sore loser?
Some stinging words from South Florida host committee chairman Rodney Barreto in the wake of NFL owners approving a New York/New Jersey Super Bowl in 2014. Barreto suggests the vote was essentially rigged in favor of the Giants/Jets bid.
Said Barreto, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald: "The fix was in for New York. We threw $1 million extra on the table [Monday] night for game-day expenses. We could have been $10 million and it wouldn't have made a difference. We put an incredible presentation that clearly was head and shoulders above everyone."
