After two weeks of bad weather, absurd interviews and nonstop predictions, it's time to hit the gridiron, as the Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

I'm Bobby Bonett, and I'll bring you through the on-field action, commercial breaks and, in the event of a wardrobe malfunction, instant analysis of the halftime show. Throughout the game we'll have plenty of polls pitting advertiser vs. advertiser, our own version of prop bets - sorry, no real cash involved - and all the user commentary you can handle.

No need for me to break down this game; Newsday's sports team that all taken care of. Here's some required reading as we get set for kickoff:

Your game preview, by Newsday's Giants beat writer Tom Rock

A look at the local guys in Dallas, also by Rock

John Boell, writer of the Gridiron Guide, gives his pick

Media maven Neil Best's column on Joe Buck, the play-by-play man for today's game

A photo-by-photo look at the history of the Super Bowl, and all Super Bowl winning quarterbacks

We'll start blogging at 6:00 p.m., so make sure to head over then and start sending in your comments.
