Son of former West Virginia and Oilers quarterback Oliver Luck. Oldest of four children.

Spent early years in London and Frankfurt, Germany, where Oliver Luck was general manager of two World League of American Football teams before becoming the league's president.

Attended Stratford High in Houston, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class in 2008.

Became first freshman starter at Stanford (2009) since Chad Hutchinson in 1996.

Two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up (2010-11). Threw school-record 32 TD passes in 2010, then broke that record with 37 in 2011.

2011 Orange Bowl MVP.
