Well, isn't this getting interesting: A day after the Jets made a surprising announcement in releasing fullback Tony Richardson, the popular veteran might not be done with the team after all.

Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com is reporting that a source has indicated Richardson will rejoin the team, possibly as early as today.

It would be a stunning turn of events less than 24 hours after Richardson's release yesterday. He was one of three players released to make room on the roster for three players claimed off waivers over the weekend. The Jets released Richardson, wide receiver David Clowney and running back Chauncey Washington after claiming wide receiver Patrick Turner (Dolphins), tackle Patrick Brown (Vikings) and defensive tackle Marcus Dixon (Cowboys).

Florio theorizes that the move might be related to the Darrelle Revis signing, and that the Jets might now release a cornerback currently on the roster to make room for Revis. If that happens, it could come down to Marquice Cole or Dwight Lowery.
