Commence freaking out, Patriots Nation.

Quarterback Tom Brady, the future Hall of Fame who is the single most insispensible player on the Patriots - or any other team, for that matter - suffered what appeared to be a left knee injury this afternoon in a joint practice session with the Buccaneers at the Patriots' training facility in Foxboro.

Here's a video of the injury, although it's not possible to tell the severity by looking at it.

Brady, 36, hurt his left knee, the same one he required reconstructive surgery on early in the 2008 season, when he was injured in the first game that year. Brady did return to practice after injuring his knee today, but after conferring with head coach Bill Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, he left the field and went to the locker room.
