Vikings' Harvin rushed to hospital after collapsing
Vikings receiver Percy Harvin was taken to a hospital by ambulance after collapsing at yesterday's practice, and coach Brad Childress said Harvin suffered another migraine headache attack. Harvin, who has dealt with migraines most of his life, has been unable to practice for most of training camp because of the headaches and their debilitating symptoms.
Harvin returned to the field Monday after missing more than two weeks. Childress said yesterday's episode was triggered when Harvin looked up into a mostly cloudy sky to field a punt. He went inside to see the team physician, then came back out to the field and doubled over. Said Childress, "He is alert and resting comfortably, but will remain in the hospital overnight."
Cushing's four-game suspension upheld
Texans linebacker Brian Cushing had his four-game suspension for taking a performance-enhancing drug upheld by the NFL, which means he won't be eligible to play until October. He was suspended in May for testing positive for HCG, a fertility drug that is on the NFL's banned substances list. He says he has a unique medical condition that triggered the positive test.- AP
