Vince Wilfork isn't going anywhere
Any team looking for a big-time defensive tackle will have to scratch Vince Wilfork of the Patriots.
The team slapped the franchise tag on Wilfork, one of the league's top defenders and a mainstay of the Patriots' defense.
The move means that any team choosing to sign Wilfork would have to surrender two first-round picks to make the deal. Translation: Wilfork is playing for the Patriots this season.
The only question now is whether the Patriots sign Wilfork to an extension, or keep him on the one-year franchise deal, which would pay him $7 million for 2010.
