Just hours before the Jets upset the Chargers on Sunday, San Diego wide receiver Vincent Jackson was pulled over for playing his music too loud.

Upon being questioned by the officer, it was learned Jackson was driving with a suspended license and expired tags. He was briefly handcuffed, a common practice according to Det. Gary Hassen, and his car was impounded.

Jackson, who caught seven passes for 111 yards in the Chargers' 17-14 loss, was stopped about two miles north of Qualcomm Stadium. He hitched a ride with quarterback Philip Rivers the rest of the way.

"Billy [Volek, the Chargers' backup QB] and I carpool," Rivers said. "Vincent joined in."

Chargers GM A.J. Smith didn't return a call from the Associated Press seeking comment. Jackson avoided reporters on Monday by slipping out the back of the team complex. He was driven away by someone else.

Jackson, the fifth-year man out of Northern Colorado, has been arrested twice for suspicion of driving under the influence. He pleaded guilty in 2006 and was on probation when he was arrested again a year ago (a case which was delayed several times since).
