A cool Open
The U.S. Open at Pebble Beach is cool. Literally cool, not be confused with the "cool" that golf has become among young people according to college golfer Scott Langley, who qualified for the Open field this year.
The temperature is expected to be in the 60s for the next couple of days. It felt like it was in the 50s early this morning. Sure beats the torrents at Bethpage last year.
Check out an update on Bethpage, with new superintendent Andy Wilson, in this Thursday's Long Island Golfbeat. Yes, I'll file from Pebble Beach
