Babylon's Reilly the medalist at MGA qualifier
Mark Reilly, 15, of Babylon had the low round in a qualifier for the Metropolitan Golf Association's Public Links Championship today. Reilly, who played well at the Long Island local U.S. Open qualifier last month and missed being the alternate at sectional qualifying by a stroke, shot par 72 at Marine Park Golf Course in Brooklyn. Reilly's father Mike is the head pro at Peninsula Golf Club in Massapequa Park.
Dylan Crowley of Glen Cove was second at 73. The Public Links will be held July 8 at Spook Rock in Suffern, NY.
