Ballo of St. John's wins the Ike
Mike Ballo Jr., 21, a recent St. John's graduate won his second consecutive Ike Championship today, securing the prestigious Metropolitan Golf Association amateur tournament with a 3-under-par 68 in the final round. He finished the three-round event at 5 under, three strokes ahead of Brian Komline.
Ballo, who plays out of Woodway, shot 32 on his final nine holes.
Dylan Crowley of Glen Cove was fourth at 3 over, Joe Saladino of Huntington Country Club was fifth at 4 over.
