Bethpage Black has been named the nation's No. 1 course in a poll conducted by Golf Advisor, a website affiliated with Golf Channel.
A statement from the site said that unlike other "best" lists that rely on industry officials and formal course raters, this survey is composed of reviews from recreational golfers.
The Black Course will host the PGA Championship May 16-19.
