Canadian amateur tops Shon in round of 16
Stephanie Sherlock, the top Canadian women's amateur player in 2009 and a top player for the University of Denver, defeated Kelly Shon of Port Washington, 3 and 1, in the round of 16. That ended a strong run for the recent high school graduate in the U.S. Women's Amateur at Charlotte Country Club.
