ClubCorp buys 3 Long Island courses
ClubCorp, a national golf firm, has announced the purchase of the three Hamlet courses on Long Island. Newsday's James Bernstein had reported last month that this was imminent. The company bought the properties from the Holiday organization, which was said to be in negotiations for the former Links at Shirley, in order to develop the property.
In any case, ClubCorp announced in its news release that it is planning a multi-million dollar renovation project at the three courses: Hamlet Golf & Country Club in Commack, Hamlet WindWatch in Hauppauge and Hamlet Willow Creek in Mount Sinai.
