Double-eagle for Shaun Micheel
Shaun Micheel has been a compelling story this week by the fact he is playing with sadness because his mother is very ill with spreading cancer--and the fact he was one of the three leaders after the first round.
He also was very interesting and helpful for my story today about the Open golfers and their dads (Micheel got started at 9, playing with his dad's group at home in Memphis).
Today, he has made a double eagle 2, up the steep hill on the par 5 sixth. Good going for a good guy.
