Els, Dustin Johnson finish with share of second
Ernie Els and Dustin Johnson each finished the second round at one-under to take a share of the lead with Ryo Ishikawa.
Els had the best score of the early groups, along with lead Graeme McDowell, by shooting a three-under 68. Johnson finished with a one-under in the second round.
Brendon de Jonge and Paul Casey finished the second round with identical scores, each shooting a two-under 69 on Thursday and a two-over 73 on Friday, to finish at even-par for the tournament.
