Anyone who buys one of three types of Callaway drivers between now and Wednesday at a Golfsmith store could get the club for free. In a promotion announced by the equipment company and the store chain, there will be a 100 percent rebate on the Diablo Edge, FT Tour or FT-iZ - if Phil Mickelson wins the Masters.

Mickelson is Callaway's signature endorser and his success usually means good business for the company. This time, success could be costly. He has not played well at all this year, so it might seem like a safe bet to offer the rebates. But Mickelson has won twice at Augusta National and tries to peak for the majors. The drivers are advertised by some outlets at prices ranging from $300 to $400 each.
