Woods walks to the practice green at the other end, to very mild applause. He works on his putting, chats with teacher Hank Haney.


Exactly one hour before tee time, he leaves the green for the practice tee. Sets up between Miguel Angel Jimenez and Lucas Glover.

After the sixth of Woods' seven practice shots with his driver, Steve Stricker stops briefly to say something, apparently encouraging.
