TIm Mickelson has been to Augusta seven times, including a trip to this year's Masters. His older brother Phil had predicted a victory so Tim made the trip for the first time in about nine years.

He really would like to go back in 2011. The 33-year-old San Diego resident has advanced to the second round of the U.S. Mid-Amateur at Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, knowing, as does everyone else in the field, that the winner gets an invitation to play in the Masters.

Can you imagine seeing Mickelson, the amateur, playing in the same major as Mickelson, the defending champion?

"To be able to play practice rounds alone, with him at a major, would not just be cool for him and me, but also our parents. For them to be able to see that happen, I think that would be pretty cool," Tim said after he defeated Mike McCoy of West Des Moines, Iowa, 2 and 1, in the first round.

           Cool indeed.
