Island Hills pro leads head pro tourney
Paul Glut of Island Hills in Sayville shot 2-under par 69 to take a one shot lead over Sean Farren of The Creek in the first round of the Polo Golf Met PGA Head Pro Championship today at the Seawane Club. Craig Thomas of Metropolis is two strokes back at 71 heading into what should be a hot final round Wednesday.
In the senior division, Darrell Kestner of Deepdale shot the day's best round, a 67, to stand four shots ahead of Bobby Heins of Old Oaks.
