Jinx schminx, Oosthuizen off to good start
Tradition says that Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa has no shot to win the Masters because he won the Par 3 Contest yesterday. No one who won the Par 3 has ever won the actual tournament the same year.
Undaunted by that curse, Oosthuizen is off to a great start. Now, just before 8:30, he is leading the Masters! With three groups out there, he is 2 under; having birdied the second and third holes.
Oosthuizen actually is a very good golfer who is coming off a win in his most recent tournament, the Open Andalucia on the European Tour.
