Kelly Shon of Port Washington, about ready to start her first year at Princeton and just off her strong performance in the U.S. Women's Amateur, won the American Junior Golf Association tournament at Kingsmill, Va.

Shon had the best round of the week in the girls division, a 4-under-par 67, and finished at 209.

“I stayed patient the whole round and made some putts,” Shon said. “My putting was rock solid. It’s hard to believe because entering the tournament I had little faith in my putter, but today it was rock solid.”

Annie Park of Levittown finished fourth.
