Len Mattiace among leaders at qualifier
Len Mattiace never has given up, not after tearing up his knees while skiiing the winter after his playoff loss at the Masters and not in any of the seasons since. He won't quit no matter what happens at Canoe Brook here today, either.
So far, through 27 holes of a 36-hole sectional at Summit, N.J., the Long Island native is 2 under par and is in third place. The top four go to Pebble Beach next week.
