Mark Brown, the head pro at Tam O’Shanter Club in Brookville, won the Monday event on the winter mini-tour in Florida. Brown shot 5-under par 67 Abacoa Golf Club in Jupiter to score a two-stroke win and the $1,000 first prize.

           It was the fourth victory all time for Brown on the circuit known as the Minor League Golf Tour. His round Monday was marked a start of 10 consecutive pars,then an eagle on the 11th hole and birdies on the 13th, 15th and 17th. He edged Pierre Relecom of Port St. Lucie. Adam Fuchs of Plainview was tied for fourth with a 71.

          Brown had last won on the Florida tour in February, 2006. It is one of several winter mini-tours for club pros and aspiring PGA Tour players. Last Friday, Andrew Giuliani finished second on a 36-hole event on the Florida Professional Golf Tour.
