Liu 5 over at turn, Saladino later

          Jim Liu, 15, of Smithtown made the turn at 5-over at Chambers Bay today in the U.S. Amateur, leaving him at 7 over so far for the tournament. No telling yet how that affects his chances of making the cut and reaching match play.

           Joe Saladino of Huntington, who is in the afternoon wave today, is tied for 13th, which puts him in position to finish the first two rounds in the top 64 and make the match play segment.
