Long Island wins Stoddard Trophy at Friar's Head
Long Island won the Stoddard Trophy, a three-way, Ryder Cup-style match between top amateurs in the region, over New Jersey and Westchester Monday at Friar’s Head in Riverhead. Long Island earned 19.5 points to 18.5 for Westchester and 16 for New Jersey.
Members of the winning team were: Bryan Pendrick, Dan Goldstein, Hunter Semels, Dennis Lynch, Jay Sessa, Hal Berman, Trevor Sahn, David Jankowski, Michael Blum, Mark Thompson, Dave Segot and Ken Bakst. The latter is founder and owner of Friar’s Head.
