Mark Brown leads Balin by one
Mark Brown, the head pro at Tam O'Shanter Club in Brookville, holds a one-stroke lead over Danny Balin on the 14th hole of the final of the Met PGA Championship.
Brown began the day four behind, went up by two, fell back into a tie, then went ahead by one again when Balin bogeyed No. 12. Brown's highlight so far today was an eagle on No. 6 at Piping Rock.
The highlight of the day for No. 6 was by John Gatta of Middle Bay Country Club, who scored a double eagle 2 there. Gatta had birdied that hole Monday and eagled it on Tuesday.
