Mickelson starts with a birdie
Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els each start the day with a solid tee shot.
Mickelson's approach found a slope and trickled off the green but he still managed to drain the putt off the fringe for birdie. Phil couldn't have asked for a better start. He moves to one-under.
Els' approach shot also left him with a good chance for birdie but he left the putt short and tapped in for par.
