Nick Beddow wins on Assistants Tour

     Nick Beddow of the Great Rock Golf Club in Wading River defeated Frank Bensel of Century on the second playoff hole Wednesday at Quaker Ridge in the latest installment of the Met Section Assistant Pros Tour. Each got through regulation with a 1-over par 71. Beddow played steadily, making three bogeys, two birdies and 13 pars.
