Pine Hollow, Piping Rock tie in Pro-Assistants

Teams from Pine Hollow and Piping Rock tied for first in the Tayloe Made/adidas Golf Long Island Pro-Assistants Championship Tuesday at Harbor Links Golf Course.

Mike Meehan, the new pro at Pine Hollow, teamed with assistant Cindy Pietrusik to shoot a best-ball 7-under par 65; tying with defending champion Sean Quinlivan of Piping Rock, who teamed with assistant Joe Dolezal.

Each head pro was allowed to enter with numerous assistants—using the head pro’s score in different combinations—and Quinlivan also tied for third. He and Eric Tuscan tied with Mark Mielke and Anthony Aruta of Mill River with a 66.
