Piping Rock's Quinlivan heads LIPGA qualifiers
Sean Quinlivan, the Piping Rock pro, was the medalist at 4 under par and led a field of 31 qualifiers Monday for the match play phase of the Long Island PGA Championship. Bill Van Orman, an assistant at the Meadow Brook Club, was exempt from qualifying as the defending champion.
Match play begins Tuesday at Mill River Club (host pro Mark Mielke was among the qualifiers at 1 under).
