Play suspended at 12:06
"Dangerous conditions" were cited as the reason for stopping play in the U.S. Mid-Amateur at 12:06 p.m. But even if there hadn't been thunder at that point, they would have had to pull the golfers off the course by now. It is really pouring out here at Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton.
There's no telling when they will resume play. Not all of the morning matches have been finished--Tim Mickelson is 1 up through 16 holes, for instance. And then they have to start the afternoon session. Given the forecast for heavy rain again Thursay, you wonder if the event will spill over into Friday.
