Skills challenge aimed at families

How does your family stack up in golf skills, compared to other families? You will have two chances to prove it as the Family Golf Challenge will make two local stops this month, at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan on July 22 and Long Island National in Riverhead July 29-30.

Competition involves putting and long-drive contests and is open to both experienced and new golfers. Contests are conducted in two-member teams, composed of any combination of family members (father/child, mother/child, uncle/niece). Proceeds go to the First Tee program. Registration is $15 and may be done online at familygolfchallenge.com.
