Tiger signs up for British Open
Tiger Woods apparently is optimistic about his sore neck. Golfdigest.com reports that he has filed an entry for the British Open in July at St. Andrews, one of his favorite spots. Woods sustained inflammation in a neck joint that caused him to withdraw from the Players Championship. But an MRI showed nothing serious.
Woods has not withdrawn from any tournaments, which means we should expect to see him at the U.S. Open next month at Pebble Beach, another of his favorite stops (at least for a major, not for the regular tour event there).
